Tutorial and Breakout Speakers:
Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of your session to ensure you can locate the room. Please be at the actual session room 15 minutes in advance. The volunteers at our registration desk can help point you in the right direction if needed. We encourage you to participate in as much of the event as you can!
Keynote Speakers:
Please plan to arrive at the venue at least an hour before the start of your talk. You will receive further instructions closer to the event, as we expect our keynote speakers to arrive at the speaker green room at least 30 prior to the start of their talk to ensure we have time to get you mic'd up and ready to go.
We livestream and record all keynote presentations. After the event, we post the recordings of the presentation to Youtube. Breakouts and tutorials are not recorded.
The dress code for Trellis events is business casual. If you are a keynote speaker, please dress in camera-friendly clothing:
What to wear on camera
Solid colored clothes. Best bets are navy blues, grays, purples, dark creams, browns and neutral.
Natural fabrics that breathe easily under the warm stage lights
Accessories with subtle patterns
Simple jewelry
What not to wear on camera
Stark white and bright yellow that tend to reflect light and appear too strong on camera
Black that absorbs light and tends to diminish appearance on camera
Pinstripes, checks, herringbones, tweeds, plaids and any other complicated or tightly designed patterns
Shiny or glossy fabrics
Dangly jewelry that may interfere with your microphone -- you may be asked to remove any jewelry that will interrupt audio quality!
